The summers are long, warm and dry:  the hottest month of the year is July with an average daily maximum of 30ºC. Winter exists but it’s normally short, with a weak average precipitation rate (around 50 days per year) and an average daily temperature of 18ºC. 

With an extraordinary weather, and a wide assortment of beautiful, endless, sandy beaches, no wonder the Algarve is sought-after every year by tourists from all over the world, especially for summer vacations. 

Although, more than magnificent beaches and a blessed climate, Algarve offers a rich culture heritage, with old buildings and living traditions that can be visited and experienced all year round.
 

Fishing is one of the main traditional activities of Portuguese culture in Algarve.
Having a strong connection with the sea, the Algarve is the perfect place to eat seafood and fish. 
In its sunny seafront restaurants, you will find barnacles, cockles, sole, clams and many other delicacies! 

Medieval fairs occur regularly in the Algarve. The most famous one is the Medieval Festival in Silves, in August, and it takes place in Silves’s Castle. Here you can see hundreds of impersonators recreating antique battles and participate in medieval tournaments. 
There are also a lot of other Castles and Fortresses that you can visit during your stay in the Algarve!

Repeatedly considered to be the best golfing destination in the world, the Algarve hosts over a million golfers every year.
Most of the fields are set in preserved areas with stunning views and are internationally recognized for its facilities’ quality.
