When entering the farmhouse, a small path runs through the property, leading to the main house and then onwards to the heights, towards a restored mill.

The main house is painted in the traditional Portuguese colours of white and blue. On the ground floor there is a large living/dining area with a fireplace. Its large bay window opens onto a terrace and south faces a large garden with an ocean view. A kitchen, a laundry, a pantry, an office and a guest toilet complete this house floor. A few steps will lead you up to the first floor with a kitchenette and 3 suites, two of them with views of the Troia peninsula. A second floor comprises two south facing suites with ocean views.

The mill which is currently used as local accommodation/ tourist rental, has an undeniably rustic charm. It has a kitchenette, a bathroom and a mezzanine with twin beds.Upstairs, there is a room with astounding views.

We like this property due to its exceptional panoramic views: to the south, the estuary of Sado and the Troia peninsula and to the north, the castle of Palmela and one hiking trail between Azeitão and Palmela. The breathtaking views, the exceptional location and the natural environment that surround this farmhouse, as well as the windmill, are complemented by the proximity of the beaches and the towns of Setúbal and Palmela.

This property - or Quinta as it is called in Portugal - is located at the top of the «Vale dos Barris» in the lush of Arrábida Natural Park. It is located near the beaches and the towns of Setubal and Palmela and is only a 45-minute drive to the international airport and Lisbon's center.
